Samil Industrial Officially Inaugurates New Facility in Egypt

The Governor of Suez inaugurates the “Samil” factory for manufacturing nutritional supplements in Adabiya, a joint Sudanese-French investment.

Major General Hani Rashad, Governor of Suez, inaugurated the “Samil” factory, specializing in the production of nutritional supplements for treating malnutrition in children. Located in the Adabiya Free Zone, the factory’s opening reflects the state’s support for development projects with a health and humanitarian focus, and its commitment to fostering a more favorable investment climate in the governorate.

The inauguration was attended by the French Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Eric Chevallier; the Deputy Sudanese Ambassador, Mr. Omar Al-Farouk; Dr. Mohamed Allam, Deputy Governor of Suez; Major General Hisham Hammam, Head of the Ataqa District; and Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the New Suez City Authority.

Representatives from various economic entities also participated in the opening ceremony.

Mr. Yasser Abbas, Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, and Mr. Osama Abu El-Magd, Chairman of the Suez Free Zones, were present, along with representatives from UNICEF, including nutritionist Moataz Saleh, and a number of executive leaders and representatives from relevant organizations.

In his address, the Governor of Suez emphasized his full support for such investment projects, particularly those combining economic and humanitarian dimensions. He noted that the Egyptian state places great importance on quality investments that contribute to improving the quality of life. He welcomed all serious investments, affirming that Suez Governorate possesses significant advantages that make it a prime destination for investors, given its ongoing development of infrastructure and investment climate.

The Governor also expressed his best wishes for the project’s success, emphasizing that such projects contribute to serving both the local and international community, especially in the field of children’s healthcare.

At the start of the event, welcoming remarks followed, with Mr. Hisham Yagoub, General Manager of the “Samil” factory, outlining the project’s features and significance. Ms. Nada Yagoub, Commercial Director of the “Samil” factory, then gave a presentation providing an overview of the factory and its operations. She explained that the factory aims to produce ready-to-use therapeutic food that helps treat malnutrition in children and has already contributed to saving the lives of many in various countries.

She praised the fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian side, thanking the Governor of Suez and all the supporting entities that contributed to bringing the project to fruition. She emphasized that the factory represents a significant addition to the health and development sectors.

At the conclusion of the event, the Governor of Suez and the attendees inaugurated the “Samil” factory, followed by a tour of the production lines to learn about the manufacturing stages and operational mechanisms. This step reflects the strong launch of a new project that serves the goals of sustainable development and enhances Suez’s position as a promising industrial and investment hub.
